To Begin
1. Plug in the device in one of two ways (whatever way you choose will determine
how you will image files will be saved).
a. You can plug the device's USB cord a wall outlet using the power adapter,
in which case you will need an external SD memory card to save and take
images with you, or
b. You can plug the device's USB cord directly into the computer, in which
case image files will be saved on the computer.
2. Press the power button to turn device on.
3. Choose the film type by pressing the Scan/Menu button and using the arrow keys
to go to Film Type. Then press OK.
4. Now you will use the arrow keys to select whether you will be scanning a color
negative, a slide positive, or a black & white negative (not pictured).

  • Page 2 1. Once you select a film type, you will be taken to the capture screen. Now, you will need to choose the slide or negative adapter for the film you are capturing. Two adapters and two inserts come included with the Jumbl.
  • Page 3 2. Insert the negative or slide into the adapter as shown below (with “this side up” facing upwards and the small arrow is facing leftward). Slide the adapter into the right side of the scanner unit it clicks. 3. Get the slide/negative you want to scan lined up on the screen and press the Scan/Menu button.
  • Page 4 If you are using method B from step 1, go to the Home option and press OK. Then press the scan/menu button and then the arrow buttons until you reach the USB MSDC option shown below on the screen. Then press the OK button. The USB will then connect the device to your computer and you will be shown the following options on the computer.
