If this machine is used in any other way, it is considered as contrary to the intended use. If the Nurse Tanker is fitted with a pump it must be attached to the tractor and the drawbar needs to be in line with the tractor. The tractor’s PTO disengaged, the engine turned off and the keys removed.

When stopping the pump it is important to reduce the risk of shock loading in the discharge pipe work – “water hammer” can cause instantaneous pressure well in excess of the actual operating system pressure, with the potential to damage pump components and pipe work.
  • Page 21 Operation and Maintenance Manual- Doda HD35 – Slurry Centrifugal Pump Umbilical Operation When operating with an umbilical system it is necessary to control the pump speed when the applicators inlet valve is closed. When turning at headlands – if applicator inlet valve is to be closed it is necessary to reduce the pump RPM to a fast idle speed gradually as the valve is to be closed.
  • Page 22 Operation and Maintenance Manual- Doda HD35 – Slurry Centrifugal Pump Cleaning Clean the Nurse Tanker as soon as possible after the spreading operation. This will make removal of the slurry deposits on the machine easier and increase the life of the Nurse Tanker.

Maintenance • Before attempting any maintenance or servicing, or when trying to locate the cause of a fault, the drive shaft must be declutched, the engine switched off and the key removed from the ignition.
  • Page 24 Operation and Maintenance Manual- Doda HD35 – Slurry Centrifugal Pump • Great care must be taken when washing with high pressure hoses, do not hold the water jet close to the paint work. • Use steam cleaners with caution; be sure to remove all detergents to avoid any discolouring or damage to paint.
