SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR MODEL 310603 WHEELS ON ROTOR CALIPER
1. Model 310603 wheels on rotor caliper features an adjustable, changeable sliding arm. This feature
allows you to move the LCD readout to the right for improved readability and to use a narrower
diameter arm (included) for improved access.
2. To adjust the LCD screen location to the right, loosen the set screw on the sliding arm and move the LCD
to the right. Ensure the sliding arm is in the retaining collar far enough to engage the set screw. Tighten
set screw, close the calipers until the pointed anvils meet, then press the 0 button. Read measurement on
the LCD readout. Note that if the LCD is moved to the right, the measurements shown on the readout will
not be the same as shown on the printed scale, and the maximum measuring capacity will be reduced.
3. To calibrate LCD readout with scale, loosen set screw on sliding arm and move LCD to the left, lining up
the left edge of the LCD with the 0 line. Slide moving arm until the pointed anvils meet, tighten set screw,
then press 0. LCD and printed scale will now show the same measurements.
MAINTENANCE
Keep your calipers clean. Use a non corrosive, non abrasive cleaner. A light film of machine oil on the
sliding parts will ensure smooth functioning.
Never apply voltage or use an electric engraver on the calipers. The electronics may be damaged and
will not be covered under warranty.
Abnormal display such as flashing digits, no digits etc indicates a weak or spent battery. To replace
battery, simply slide battery cover in direction of arrow and replace. Use model G13A or equivalent.
Positive side of battery must face up.
Please note your calipers were shipped with 2 batteries. We recognize the battery in the unit may not
be fresh by the time it reaches the consumer. If the battery in your unit is spent, replace it with the spare.
A spent battery is not a warranty item.
