STEP 1 Mark Out All Measurements Attach the fitting template to the door using sticky tape. Line up the dotted edge of the template to the corner edge of the door. The center of the template should be placed approximately 36 to 48 inches from the floor level. Measure the thickness of the door, and depending on the thickness you will need to mark the door at 1 ¾”...

STEP 2 Drill All Holes Ensure that you are wearing protective safety glasses and then drill the holes. Firstly drill a larger 2 1/8” hole through the face of the door using the 2 1/8” hole cutter. Secondly, drill a smaller 1” hole through the side of the door to meet at the centre of the door face hole.

STEP 3 Chisel The Door & Install Latch Plate To Install The Latch Plate Push the latch plate into the door and using the shape as a template, mark around the rectangular latch using your pencil. Chisel a shallow groove of 1/8” into the end of the door until the latch plate fits completely flush against the door.

STEP 4 Chisel The Door Jamb & Install Striker Plate Now you have installed the latch plate, partially close the door until the latch is just inside the door jamb. Using your pencil, gently mark a line to show the top and bottom of the latch plate –...

In the centre of the two screw holes, drill a 1” hole, approx 1/2” into the door jamb. Chisel a shallow groove about 1/16” deep until the strike plate fits flush against the door frame.

Insert and and screw in strike plate using a Philips screwdriver. Make sure to tighten, but do not over-tighten screws. The end lang of the striker plate can be adjusted (bent) to increase or decrease the tightness of the fit between the door and door stop.

STEP 5 Install The Door Lever Position the lever facing away from the door latch into the 2 1/8” hole. You should use the lever that has the spindle extending from it. Next, align the spindle with the slot in the latch and slide into place Position the second lever onto the connection bar and line up into position.
