Hi, I’m planning to buy the wireless wind sensor and would like to know if it is possible to install the Bluetooth receiver below deck. I have 17 meter mast on my Linnjet 37 boat.
No, the B&G WS320 wireless wind sensor Bluetooth receiver should not be installed below deck on a Linnjet 37 with a 17-meter mast. The pairing process requires the wind sensor to be within 0.5 meters (1.6 ft) of the Bluetooth base station to succeed. Installing the base station below deck would place it too far from the sensor at the top of a 17-meter mast.
