PA 5AV Installation and Setup Manual
The PA 5AV is extremely versatile as it offers both RCA audio inputs and RCA audio outputs. It can
be connected two different ways depending on your need. When connected to the AUX input on a
car stereo, it allows the connection of a video player or TV to a factory stereo, or it can be installed
between a stereo and an amplifier through the RCA's, which is perfect for Limo or Boat applications
where a stereo and amplifier are already installed.

Connecting into stereo AUX Input method with Video Player / TV

Connections
 Connect power and ground (NOTE: the yellow wire is 12V output trigger and is optional)
 Connect the male RCA output on the PA 5AV to the AUX input on the stereo. (Use the
included RCA to 3.5mm adaptor cable if required)
 Connect the RCA audio output from the DVD or TV into the female RCA audio input on the
PA 5AV.
 The single female RCA is only used with the optional PA RME (rear mic extension), allowing a
second mic port.
 Turn on the vehicle power, PA 5AV and stereo.
 Put stereo into AUX mode.
 Turn on mic and talk, set desired mic level by adjusting stereo volume.
If connected to an external audio input (like DVD player or TV Audio output)
 Turn off mic, start playing DVD / TV, and use the DVD / TV to adjust the desired sound level.
(e.g. half volume is loud as normal). If too loud or soft, see "Fine Adjustments" section
below to adjust the DVD audio input level.
 Turn on mic, and DVD / TV sound will dim. To adjust the amount of sound dimming, see
"Fine Adjustment" section below.
