Pairing:

1) Make sure BOTH devices are fully charged and within 1 metre of each other. Turn
off ALL Bluetooth devices - phones, music players etc that are within 10 metres.
1) Power OFF the BIRD-1 and the Bluetooth headset.
2) Press and hold the Pairing Button on the BIRD-1 for approximately 8 seconds until
the light quickly flashes Red/Blue continuously.
3) Using your Bluetooth headset's instructions, put it into "Pairing Mode" until the
BIRD-1 flashes change to blue slowly to indicate pairing has been established. This
may take a few minutes.
4) Plug the radio connector lead into your radio and the PTT button and lead into the
Radio dongle. Press the PTT to confirm that the radio goes into transmit correctly.
5) If using a Bluetooth PTT button. Turn OFF your paired headset and the BIRD-1.
Press and hold the Bluetooth PTT button until the light flashes Red / Blue rapidly.
Press and hold the BIRD-1 power button until the light flashes Red / Blue rapidly,
wait 5 seconds and press the BIRD-1 power button ONCE, the flashing lights will
slow down and in a few seconds the two devices will cease flashing and go to a
slow blue light flash to indicate successful pairing.
