1.2 Indications for Use The UnicLine Chair is an electrically powered, is a dental chair intended to take part of a operative unit intended to supplying power to and serve as a base for other dental devices and instruments.
Damaged components must not be used and must be replaced. CAUTION: Read and understand all accompanying documents for OEM instruments and equipment purchased for use with the UnicLine Mobile before attempting to connect for use. CAUTION: This patient chair maximum load is 268lbs/130Kg.

Assembly instructions On receipt of the chair: Remove the transport packaging from the patient chair. Note: The chair is bolted to the wooden pallet for transport. Position the patient chair on the spot where it will be installed by lifting it as shown below.

In the event of faults or defects, contact an authorised Heka Dental dealer. Heka Dental reserves the right to continue to develop the product. Although we strive to keep the documentation up to date, the chair may include options that are not described in this operator's manual.
Safety instructions The patient chair must only be used under the supervision of dental professionals. This is to protect the operator, patient, and chair against injury and damage. To make sure the patient is in the most ergonomic position during treatment, the operator must maintain a clear view of the chair and patient at all times.
Warning signals and emergency stop The patient chair is equipped with safety systems to protect you against injury and the chair against damage. Program stop When the chair moves to a programmed position, it can be stopped by moving the chair's joystick in one of the four directions.
Safety stop, chair lowering (accessory) If the chair meets an obstruction when it is lowered, it will immediately stop and lift slightly. Starting up the patient chair On/Off The On/Off switch is under the footrest. The chair must be switched off at the end of the working day.
Operating the armrest The armrest on the chair is an accessory (can be added later). The armrest can be swivelled away from the chair to make it easier for the patient to get in and out of the chair. The armrest must be raised approx. 1 cm and can then be moved to the position required for the patient to sit down or leave the chair.
Description of the joystick The chair can be adjusted manually or automatically to the desired position using the foot joystick.The chair can be equipped with up to 3 joysticks to make adjustment easier. Manual adjustment of the chair If you wish to adjust the chair manually, the joystick must be activated until the desired position is reached.
Automatic adjustment of the chair The chair has 4 programs that can be programmed as required. If one of the 4 programs is used, the joystick will only need to be activated briefly in the program in question. The chair will automatically move to the programmed position. The 4 programs in the chair are set at the factory.
11. Maintenance The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends use of a chemical germicide registered with the EPA as a Hospital Disinfectant and labeled for tuberculocidal activity for surfaces that have been soiled with patient material. In compliance with this guideline, we recommend intermediate-level disinfection between patients using Sani-Cloth AF3.
Screw out the fuse carrier to remove. Replace the fuse with a new one of the same type and size. Reinsert the fuse carrier and switch on the chair. In the event of faults or defects, contact an authorised Heka Dental dealer.

If the chair is used with a Unic foot control, the Last Position will work on the chair joystick as well as on the joystick on the foot control. Note: The last position function should only be used with UnicLine units. 13.2 Working with make contacts If the end-stops are make-contacts there should be no INIT jumper on P7, and the LEDs D7, D17, D18 and D19 are normally OFF.
13.3 Working with break contacts If the end-stops are break-contacts there should be a INIT jumper on P7, and the LEDs D7, D17, D18 and D19 are normally ON. P9, P14 and P15 must normally be closed. If the two pins on P15 are disconnected, it hardware wise prevent the chair from moving. P14 can be used for safety under the chair.
Heka Dental dealer/engineer. The installation card must be submitted within 15 days of the installation date. Heka Dental offers an additional spare parts warranty that runs from year 2 up to and including year 5.
This installation/service card is kept in a plastic cover on the inside of the control panel's cover plate. Attention In order to obtain a three-year guarantee, the installation card and the two service cards must be filled out by an authorised service technician and sent to Heka Dental A/S after installation/service of the equipment.
