SET UP INSTRUCTIONS
3466 – THREE URN PRINCIPESSA FOUNTAIN
Open bag containing the pump kit P180006. In the kit you will find:
1 – 02728 (1800 gallon per hour pump)
1 – 1" clear tubing 5" long
1 – 3/4" PVC pipe 4 1/2" long
3 – 3/4" PVC pipe 10 1/2" long
1. Prepare a level base of 4" poured concrete or 6" compacted crushed limestone. The rectangular fountain pool has a
base dimension of 73 1/2" long by 34 1/2" wide.
2. Before you position the fountain pool. Find the pump and run the plug end of the power cord down the PVC
insert located on one end of the rectangular pool. Leave 18" of slack on the power cord from the pump to the
PVC insert.
3. Find the rubber stopper and the tube of silicone. Fill the hole in the rubber stopper with silicone. Slip the
rubber stopper onto the power cord of the pump about 18" from the body of the pump with the smaller end facing
away from the pump.
Apply silicone around the inside edge of the PVC insert and the outside edge of the rubber stopper. Insert the rubber
stopper snugly into the PVC insert. Apply more silicone on top and around the rubber stopper and power cord. Don't
skimp on the silicone you want a watertight seal.
4. Retrieve the power cord from under the rectangular pool and place the power cord in the groove in the bottom of pool.
Position the rectangular pool in the center of the area where the fountain is to be displayed. Find the #7 drain plug and
insert snugly into the drain insert located in the center of the rectangular pool. Remove any tape and or dirt from the
drain insert before you insert the drain plug. If necessary use silicone on and around the drain plug to seal.
5. This step is done for you. When assembling this PVC pipe assembly the two middle connections of the two ¾" PVC
tees and the end connection of the ¾" PVC elbow MUST be positioned in the same directions.
Find one ¾" PVC tee and two ¾" PVC pipes 19" long. Use PVC glue for the following.
Attach the two ¾" PVC pipe 19" long to the two end connections of the ¾" PVC tee.
Find the ¾" PVC elbow and attach it to the opposite end of a ¾" PVC pipe 19" long.
Find the second ¾" PVC tee and attach it to opposite end of the second ¾" PVC pipe 19" long.
Find the ¾" PVC pipe 4 ½" long and attach it to the end connection of the second ¾" PVC tee.
Find the piece of 1" clear tubing 5" long and slip it onto the end of the ¾" PVC pipe 4 ½" long about 1" to 1 ½".
6. Find the three ¾" PVC ball valves, the three ¾" PVC pipe 31" long and the three ¾" PVC pipe 10 1/2" long. Using
PVC glue, attach one end of the ¾" PVC pipe 31" long to one end of the ¾" PVC ball valve. Attach one end of the ¾"
PVC pipe 10 1/2" long to the opposite end of the ¾" PVC ball valve. These will be called the valve assembly.
7. Place the PVC pipe assembly into the rectangular pool positioning the middle ¾" PVC tee in the center of the center
square marked in the floor of the rectangular pool. Find three 27" square pump house columns and position the openings
in the base over top of the PVC pipe assembly and centered in the squares marked in the floor of the rectangular pool.
8. Find the three planters and position them on top of the three 27" square pump house columns. Insert the longer PVC
pipe of the valve assembly in each of the holes located in the center of each planter.
At the openings in the base of the three 27" square pump house columns, insert the end of the ¾" PVC pipe into the end
of the ¾" PVC elbow and the middle connections of the two ¾" PVC tees. Push the end of the ¾" PVC pipe into the end
¾" PVC elbow and the two middle connections of the two ¾" PVC tees until it bottoms out. Do not glue.
9. Find the three pieces of butyl tape 12" long. Apply the butyl tape around the ¾" PVC pipe just above the hole in the
planter. Push the butyl tape down into the hole around the PVC pipe making a water tight seal.
2 – 3/4" PVC pipe 19" long
3 – 3/4" PVC pipe 31" long)
3 – 3/4" PVC ball valve
2 – 3/4" PVC tee
