    INSTALLATION WARNING: Read all the instructions completely before proceeding. Rena Ware recommends calling a professional if you are uncertain about installing this product! This product should be installed in accordance with all local and state plumbing and building codes. NOTE: If you have the single source faucet (cold only), your faucet has only one supply tube and your sink will have only one supply line.
  • Page 10 1. INSTALLING THE INTEGRATED FAUCET NOTE: If your sink deck has one hole, see option A below (SINGLE POST MOUNT FAUCET INSTALLATION:).   • Page 11 B) DECK PLATE AND FAUCET INSTALLATION: • Installing Deck Plate: Place screws (2A) into Deck Plate slots. Set plastic bottom plate (2B) over the center hole on the sink, rounded edges up. Put a bead of plumbers’ putty around the inside bottom edge of Deck Plate (2C). Install the Deck Plate (2C) over the three holes in your sink deck.
  • Page 12 INSTALLING THE INTEGRATED FAUCET USING DECK PLATE You will need two people for installation. • Insert the faucet Supply Tubes (4A) and Pullout Hose (4B), and Data Cable (4C) through the optional Deck Plate. • Position the Pullout Hose so that its end is above the ends of the Supply Tubes (see inset diagram below).
  • Page 13 2. WATER SUPPLY CONNECTIONS: Gently separate hot and cold Supply Tubes (5A), approximately 7 cm (3 inches) apart. Connect your existing water supply lines (5C) to Faucet Inlets (5B). (Supply lines and fittings are not included.) 3. ATTACHING THE BASE ASSEMBLY: a.
  • Page 14 c. Insert the Mixed Water “Out” line (6A) into the plastic connector (6B), then insert the inlet tube (6C) into the other end of the plastic connector (6B). Insert the outlet tube (6D) into the brass connector on the Pullout Hose (6E). NOTE: DO NOT USE PTFE TAPE ON THESE NON-THREADED CONNECTIONS.
  • Page 15 4. INSTALLING THE FILTER CARTRIDGES: Place the Aqua√HD™ Cartridge in the locking plate on the base. Once inserted into the base, rotate it clockwise slightly to lock. Install the Pre-Filter cartridge in the same way, on top of the Aqua√HD™ Cartridge. 5.
  • Page 16 6. UNIT START UP: Turn on hot and cold water supplies, and check for leaks above and below the sink. 7. FLUSHING THE SYSTEM: To remove any small carbon particles and expel excess air, it will be necessary to flush the faucet. Remove plastic bag (7A) from the end of the Pullout Hose (7B).
  • Page 17 CHARGING THE SYSTEM: To improve the flow rate and to reduce the “run on” of water after the faucet is turned off the system needs to be “charged”. Charging purges trapped air from the system. a. Remove the Inlet Assembly from the top of the Pre-Filter. b.
  • Page 18 INSTALLING THE SPRAY HEAD: Do not let Pullout Hose (8C) retract into faucet arm (8A). Connect the spray head (8B) to the Pullout Hose (8C) by turning the metal fitting (8D) clockwise, hand tighten. CAUTION: do not over tighten. 10. ATTACHING WEIGHT TO PULLOUT HOSE: Your faucet includes a weight, to help to retract the Pullout Hose during pullout operation.

    11. SECURING INLET LINES: To avoid binding, jamming, or interference with the movement of the Pullout Hose, do not cross the Pullout Hose (10B) with the inlet Supply Tubes (10A). NOTE: For best results, after sitting overnight or after several hours of non-use, run water through the filter for 1 MINUTE before using.

This product should be installed in accordance with all local and state plumbing and building codes. TOOLS RECOMMENDED: PTFE plumber’s tape or thread sealant, slotted screwdriver, pliers, adjustable wrench, flashlight, and cloth.
  • Page 24 INSTALLING THE SIDE FAUCET: NOTE: If there is not already a hole to accommodate the side faucet, drill one 22 mm (.87”) in diameter through the sink deck. a. Unscrew the nut at the base of the spout. Remove the nut and both the steel and the rubber washers.
  • Page 25 b. Thread your existing cold water supply line that comes from the valve on the wall into the side inlet of the 3-way-diverter valve. Line to your wall outlet c. Thread the Braided Source Water Tube onto the bottom of the 3-way-diverter valve.

Disconnect the Inlet Assembly from the top of the Pre-Filter Cartridge by turning counter clockwise, then, remove the Pre-Filter from the Main Filter.. b. Install two new, high quality, AA batteries (not included) in the Filter Base and insert the Data Cable into the Data Cable Port on the underside of the base.

  • Page 29 ATTACHING THE INLET ASSEMBLY: The Inlet Assembly attaches to the top of the Pre-Filter Cartridge. It is inserted the same way the cartridges connect. Rotate the Inlet Assembly approximately 1/8 turn clockwise so that the tubing lines up with the Outlet Tube. outlet tube UNIT START UP: Turn on the water supplies, and check for leaks above and below the sink.

    CARE AND MAINTENANCE Cleaning the Exterior of the Aqua ✓ Nano To clean the exterior of your faucet, filter cartridges, and base unit, use a clean, damp cloth and mild, non-abrasive liquid soap. Do not use dishwashing soap. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Note: Do not submerge the base unit or let stand in water.
  • Page 34 MAINTAINING THE PRE-FILTER BACK-FLUSHING THE PRE-FILTER You should back-flush the Pre-Filter (up to three times) when a significant reduction in flow occurs. The disposable EM Media Insert should be replaced if back-flushing the Pre-Filter fails to restore acceptable flow. IMPORTANT: NEVER BACK-FLUSH THE Aqua√HD™ CARTRIDGE. Back-flushing the Aqua√HD™...
  • Page 35 5. Invert the Pre-Filter Cartridge and place the Back-Flow Adaptor on the outlet nipple of the Pre-Filter. 6. Over the sink insert the outlet nipple of the Inlet Assembly into the other end of the Back-Flush Adapter and keep pressure on it. 7.
  • Page 36 CLEANING OR REPLACING THE PRE-FILTER MEDIA INSERT We sugest wearing protective gloves when handling the cartridges. Clean the Media Insert regularly between replacements to extend the life of the cartridge. To clean: Open the housing by turning the top counterclockwise and remove the media by grabbing the base of the housing with both hands and push the end cap of the media forward punt...
  • Page 37 Close the housing by turning the top clockwise until the arrows marked on the housing are almost aligned, reinstall and charge. NOTE: Back-flushing and rinsing will improve flow but will not restore the Pre-Filter Cartridge to “like new” condition. The improvement will be less each time you back- flush and rinse, until it is necessary to replace the Pre-Filter Cartridge to restore the flow rate to an acceptable level.
  • Page 38 Open the housing by turning the top counterclockwise and remove the media by pushing it forward and twisting until releases. Discard the used Media Insert. punt outlet nipple Wash the reusable housing with mild soap and insert the new Aqua√HD™ media with the punt up and close until the arrows marked on the housing are aligned and reinstall.

    TROUBLESHOOTING Water is not coming out of the faucet. • Make sure the source water valves are turned on. • Make sure the tubing is smooth and straight, without kinks. Water leaks out between filter cartridges or at the filter Inlet Assembly or filter base.
  • Page 40 Steps: 1. Disconnect the Inlet Assembly from the base and re-install the empty main filter housing (remove the used Aqua√HD™ media insert). 2. Pour in 100 ml ( ½ cup) of bleach into the cartridge and fill it the rest of the way with bottled water.
