- Page 3 • Step 1 - Remove all the pieces from the packaging. • Step 2 - Lay out all the parts next to where you will be installing the pergola. • Step 3 - With yourself on one side, and your helper on the other, pick up one of the rafters that will be going parallel to the wall and hold it against the wall exactly where you would like the pergola to be.
