- Page 5 Side Panel 31. Speaker 32. Cassette Slot 33. Cassette Eject / F. Forward Button CD FUNCTION CD Playback The CD Player can play normal audio CDs as well as MP3 CDs. 1. Turn the Function Knob (1) to CD, then press the Open / Close Button to open the CD Drawer. 2. Place a pre‐recorded CD into the CD tray. Press the Open / Close Button again to close the CD door. The CD LCD Display will show the total number of tracks on the CD. The CD will start automatically playing from the first track. 3. Press the Play / Pause Button (7) to pause the CD. The LCD Display will flash. 4. Press the Play / Pause Button (7) to resume playback. 5. Press B.Skip (13) or F.Skip (12) to select a particular track. 6. Press the Stop Button (6) to stop playback. Repeat Playing Function Press the Repeat Button (8) once to repeat a single track and press once more to repeat all tracks. Press it again to cancel the repeat function. Programming Function To program the tracks, press the Program Button (11), then press the B.Skip Button (13) or F.Skip Button (12), then press the Program button to save into the memory. RADIO / TUNER FUNCTION 1. Turn the Function Knob (1) to Radio. 2. Select the Am / Fm channel by sliding the Am / Fm Slide Switch (15) to the desired band. 3. Use the Tuning Knob (2) to select a radio station. 4. Reposition the Music Centre or extend the FM wire antenna (20) as necessary to obtain a better reception. PHONO FUNCTION 1. Turn the Function Knob (1) to Phono. 2. Remove any packaging from the Turntable. 3. Remove the plastic protective cover (30) from the stylus (29) and unlock the Tone Arm (27) by releasing the Lock Clip (28). 4. Place your record onto the turntable platter (21). 5. Select the turntable speed by sliding the 33 / 45 / 78rpm switch (26) on the right side of the turntable. 6. Lift up the Tone Arm, move it towards the rotating turntable and gently place it over the record where you wish it to start playing. 7. Lower the Tone Arm with the Cue Lever (24). If you want to stop the record playing, lift up the Tone Arm with the Cue Lever and place it back on the Arm Rest (28). AUTO STOP FUNCTION 1. If you want the turntable mechanism to stop automatically at the end of the record, ensure the Auto Stop Switch (26) is in the ON position. 2. CASSETTE FUNCTION Playing A Tape The Cassette Player can play back normal length Cassette tapes (80 minutes). 1. Turn the Function Knob (1) to Tape / Line In, then insert a cassette tape into the cassette slot on the side panel (32), ensuring it is inserted correctly. 2. Push the cassette tape in and it will automatically start playing. 3. Press the Eject Button (33) gently to skip forward and fully press this button to eject the tape. Note: Make sure the direction is correct when inserting the tape. Some searching noise will be heard – this is normal. Remove the tape after each use. 11. Safety • Always supervise the use of this product. • For use indoors, in dry environments only. • Do not put anything on top of the Music Centre and allow plenty of ventilation around it. ... -

14. Care and Maintenance Do not attempt to remove the cover or access the interior of this product. There are no user‐serviceable parts inside and the lamps are soldered into place. Only a suitably qualified person should service this product. Once this product is eventually exhausted, please dispose of it appropriately. Compact Disc Care To remove a disc from its storage case, press down on the centre of the case and lift the disc out, holding it carefully by the edges. Fingerprints and dust should be carefully wiped off the disc’s surface with a soft cloth. Wipe in a straight line from the inside to the outside of the disc. Clean the disc periodically with a soft, lint‐free, dry cloth. Never use detergents or abrasive cleaners to clean the disc. Do not fix labels to the surface of the discs or write on them except with specialist CD‐R pens. ... - Page 9 Care and Maintenance (continued) Cassette Care Two common causes of trouble experienced when using cassettes are: a. Tape jamming, leading to uneven speed during playback. b. Tape entangling, when the tape wraps itself around vital parts of the mechanism.
