ENGINE SPEED. Never attempt to modify the engine speed setting. The engine speed is • preset at 3000 RPM for safe and optimal performance of the generator. If speed needs adjusting, it must be done by authorized service centre. • EXTERNAL FUEL SOURCES.

GETTING STARTED BEFORE USING THIS GENERATOR IT MUST BE PREPARED CORRECTLY BEFORE USE. • Locate the generator on firm level ground away from buildings or other structures en- suring that the exhaust is not obstructed. STARTING SELECT A SAFE AND SUITABLE LOCATION The generator should only be operated outdoors on a firm, level surface in a well-ventilated area. At least 2.5 Metres of clearance should be maintained in relation to any structures or objects, and this includes space above the generator. The generator could ignite nearby materials.

CONNECTING LOAD TO THE GENERATOR When the engine has been successfully started, warm and running smoothly a load can be connected to the AC output sockets. WARNING! Before connecting any electrical load to the generator ensure that the load does not exceed the rated output on the rating plate.
MAINTENANCE Proper maintenance is the responsibility of the owner. Your generator requires periodic maintenance and adjustments to keep the generator in good operating condition. Refer to the Maintenance Schedule chart for specific maintenance intervals. Keep in mind that this maintenance schedule is for normal working conditions and may re- quire more maintenance in hash conditions.
ENGINE OIL CHECKING OIL LEVEL 1. Have your generator on a flat, level surface. Stop generator from running. Allow to com- pletely cool. 2. Remove the oil filter cap and wipe the dipstick clean with a clean cloth. 3. Check the oil level by inserting the dipstick in the filter neck without screwing it in, then re- move it.
SEDIMENT CUP CLEANING The sediment cup prevents dirt and water that may be in the fuel tank from entering the carburettor. Refer to the Maintenance Schedule for regular service intervals. 1. Turn the generator off. 2. Have your generator on a flat, level surface. 3.

STORAGE Before storing the generator for an extended pe- riod of time: 1. Be sure the storage area is free of excessive hu- midity and dust. 2. Turn fuel valve lever to the CLOSED position. 3. Remove the sediment cup. 4.
Should service become necessary during the warranty period, the purchaser should contact an Authorised Service Centre or J W Ross. In order to obtain warranty service, the purchaser must present the store receipt showing the name of the retailer and the date of purchase.
