NOTE: This buckle guard is
designed to prevent the
occupant from releasing the
buckle.
NOTE: Do not use this
product if caregiver is
unable to release the buckle
with the buckle guard
installed.
NOTE: This buckle guard
(Figure A) must only be
used with the buckle shown
in Figure B. If there is any
doubt, call customer service
at Merritt Manufacturing,
Inc. at 317-409-0148 for
assistance.
1. Remove the buckle from
your child safety seat, per
the instructions provided
with it.
2. Remove the Buckle Guard
(Figure D) from its
packaging.
3. Insert the buckle anchor
through the top of the
Buckle Guard (Figures E and
F).
4. Using the palm of your hand,
snap the Buckle Guard onto
the buckle (Figure G).
NOTE: Make sure the
buckle guard fits flush as
shown in Figures H and I. If
it does not fit flush, call
customer service at Merritt
Manufacturing, Inc. at 317-
409-0148 for assistance.
5. Install the buckle, according
to your child safety seat's
instructions.

Installation of the Buckle Guard

A
NOTE: This Buckle Guard (Figure A) will not work with any
of the buckles pictured above. It will only work with the
buckle shown in Figure B below.
