    8. To avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the terminal cut-out, the hand dryer must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer or to a circuit that is regularly switched on / off. Each dryer must have it's own dedicated circuit. Move all field wiring away from moving parts within the dryer.
  • Page 14 The minimum mounting distance from the bottom of the dryer to a reflective surface is 18” (46cm). When installing several dryers on the same wall a minimum space of 24” or (61cm) should be respected between each dryer. 3.   • Page 15 8. Wi-Fi CONNECTING INSTRUCTIONS The optional Wi-Fi module is located on the inner left top of the circuit board. HOW TO CONNECT VORTEX HAND DRYER DEVICE WITH A WI-FI ROUTER We suggest an independent router for the exclusive use of the hand dryers, this will eliminate all possible interference with other users.

    DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. 10. FILTER REPLACEMENT All Vortex dryers come standard with a lint and debris filter. The service life of this filter depends on the environment as well as the washroom traffic. We suggest cleaning or changing filter, whichever is required at the same frequency as the maintenance schedule.

  • Page 19 DANGER Failure to properly ground the unit could result in serious injury and/or death from severe electrical shock. The hand dryer must be properly grounded for safe operation. An identified ground connection point is supplied on the hand dryer’s wall plate. A GFCI protection is recommended in wet or damp locations or as required by local construction codes.

  • Page 21 If, during the 10 year warranty period following a purchase by the end user, a client finds that a Vortex supplied dryer is defective, the Warranty shall include labour performed at factory as well as the repair or exchange of defective parts, at manufacturer's option.
  • Page 22 10 years . What is the cost of the Diamond Warranty? The one-time fee is $74.80 plus local taxes is available at time of purchase from Vortex Industries or your authorized Distributor. This can be paid on-line by credit card when registering your Vortex Dryer.
