User Guide
Thank you for choosing The Solar Centre's Beam Solar Shed Light. Please read these instructions carefully
before using your light.
Please note that your Beam Solar Shed Light is designed to charge by day and work by night. It is possible to
use your light during the day, but it will not charge while you are using it. Regular daytime use for extended
periods will result in your Beam Solar Shed Light running flat.

Installing the Solar Panel

Before installing your Light in your desired location, you'll need to consider the best place for the solar panel to
receive the most amount of daylight. There is 1.8 meters of cable between the light unit and the solar panel
so it is essential you do not position the solar panel out of reach of where you want your light to go. Your solar
panel must be installed outside. When placing the solar panel always try to angle it south, south-east or
south-west while avoiding places where daylight is obstructed by buildings, fences, trees or the shadows that
these create. Once you have identified your solar panel location, install it using the supplied screws and rawl
plugs.

Installing the Light Unit

Please note that the light unit is designed for indoor use only and can not be installed outside. Installing
the light outside will likely result in water ingress which will invalidate your guarantee.
The light unit can be installed quickly and easily using the supplied double-sided adhesive pads. Simply remove
the protective film on one side of the pads and secure the pads in your desired location. Once the pads are
securely in place remove the film from the face of the pads and press the light firmly against the pads and hold
for 1 minute. Please ensure that the pull chord is on the underside of the light so that it dangles down. You can
now connect the solar panel cable into the top of the light unit.
If you prefer, you can screw your light into position. There is a small slot next to each of the four corners of the
clear plastic shade. Gently push the end of a small flat head screwdriver into each slot in turn and apply a small
amount of downward pressure to the screwdriver to release the shade from the light body. Once the shade is
removed you will see that there are two screw holes on the LED strip. You can now use the supplied screws
and screw plugs to install the light before pushing the shade back into place.
