About this device ABOUT THIS DEVICE The STULZ UltraWater is intended for the treatment of drinking water for use in ultrasonic humidifiers. Adiabatic humidifying systems produce cold mist and must be supplied with demineralized drinking water, in order to ensure that the vibrating elements continue to function throughout the life of the system, and to prevent any buildup of limescale in the system or in the humidified room. -

Installation 7.5. Electrical connection Both STULZ UltraWater models are delivered fully wired. Only connect the power supply when installation is complete. Check the power cable, plugs and transformer housing for areas of damage. Only connect equipment in perfect condition to the power supply. Faulty parts must be replaced by specialist personnel. -

Select minimum distances from obstacles and minimum lengths of hoses and cables so as to ensure that hoses and cables cannot be kinked or squashed. Check the function and tightness of the STULZ UltraWater. For this, see the "Start-up" section. -

STULZ UltraWater 3-stage reverse osmosis system SUW Start-up START-UP The drain water connection must be ensured. Do not use mains water with a temperature above 45°C. Protect the system against frost. • The higher the water pipe pressure, the more pure water can be produced, and also with better quality. The devices of the STULZ UltraWater series are therefore equipped with a booster pump. Excessively high pressure can damage the membrane. -

Maintenance MAINTENANCE The STULZ UltraWater reverse osmosis system is low-maintenance. However, the function (water volume, water quality) and the condition of the membrane and prefilter must be checked at regular intervals. Wear- ing parts must also be replaced regularly. The usual water throughput and quality cannot be guaranteed if the necessary maintenance is not performed. - Page 37 STULZ UltraWater 3-stage reverse osmosis system SUW Maintenance Install new filters in the prefilter housing (first remove the plastic film). The two filters are identical. Check sealing rings for damage. Check that sealing rings are clean. Lightly grease sealing rings with silicone.
