Mounting of the HIS-700R The HIS-700R is equipped with a enhanced driver circuit. Therefore it is possible to have the HIS-700R mounted in a distance up to 10m from the Chartplotter. The HIS-700R should not be mounted close to other units transmitting and receiving radio signals.

But if you use such an adapter please do first install the adapter. Please assure that the adapter is not yet connected to the HIS-700R. In some cases this could lead to misinstallation of the adapter and a final reliable use of the HIS-700R is not possible.
External NMEA data, e.g. of an external GPS, can be passed through to the HIS-700R. This input is optodecoupled. The yellow and the brown cable are used for this feature. The yellow cable is the positive input for the additional NMEA data (NMEA +).
