    TRANSPORT | UNLOADING | UNPACKING INSPECTION When ironer is delivered, visually inspect the packing and the parts of the ironer visible through the packing. Before signing any delivery document to the forwarder, make sure the product is delivered intact. UNLOADING The ironer must be unloaded from truck and transported keeping forklift forks as wide apart as possible to avoid any torsion to the frame.

    IRONER POSITIONING CAUTION! All operations must be carried out by fully qualified engineers. DANGER! Make sure that the floor static load limit complies with the equipment weight before positioning the ironer. IMPORTANT! To avoid damaging the appliance, do not let it drop when handling. G .25 and G .35 Open the doors using the key provided and remove the screws fixing the ironer to the pallet.

    REMOVING THE TRANSPORT SAFETIES CAUTION! All operations must be carried out by fully qualified engineers. Before connecting the ironer, it is necessary to remove the safeties installed to protect the machine from damages that might occur during the transport.   • Page 12: Removing The Antioxidant Paper

    REMOVING THE ANTIOXIDANT PAPER (models with polished cylinder only) The ironing cylinder is protected from oxidation effects by an anti-oxidation paper that MUST be removed on the first installation. Don’t discard the protective paper: wrap it on the ironing cylinder again in case of a prolonged inactivity of the machine ( ~ more than 1 week).
  • Page 13 STEP 3: Complete the operation making sure that the detaching linen springs and and the brass plates supporting the thermostat sensors are perfectly in contact with the cylinder. DETACHING LINEN SPRING BRASS PLATE WARNING! Disconnect the handwheel before starting the ironer. IMPORTANT! Do not tear the paper, and make sure no piece of paper remains inside the ironer when heating is activated.

    ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS DANGER! Electrical connections must be carried out by fully qualified engineers. DANGER! When the main switch mounted on the ironer is in position 0, there is still tension on the ironer supply terminals. Turn off the ciruit breaker before carrying out any operation on the electric circuit. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible should safety regulations not be observed.

    ROOM CHARACTERISTICS WARNING! All operations must be carried out by fully qualified engineers. The ironer must be positioned in a well illuminated room, and ideally work in a temperature included between -10°C and +40°C. VENTILATION The ironer should be only installed in a well ventilated room. Ventilation air intake must comply with the norms in force in the destination country.

    EXHAUST REQUIREMENTS WARNING! All operations must be carried out by fully qualified engineers. DANGER! All the ironer exhausts must be conveyed to the outdoors. Fresh air intake must be granted in accordance with national legal requirements. The exhaust piping must be properly insulated and always be realized in conformity with national legal norms. The chimney has to be adequately spaced from combustible and/or easily burning materials by air interspace or opportune insulating material.

    CHECKING THE GAS PRESSURE DANGER! All operations must be carried out by fully qualified engineers. Gas connection must be realized in conformity with national legal requirements. WARNING! Make sure the supply pressure is stable and corresponds to the data indicated in the serial number dataplate before lea- ving the site.

    Order the original conversion kit from the factory. DANGER! To avoid risk of fire and explosion, ONLY use GMP original parts. IMPORTANT! On models G 21.35, G 26.35 and G.50, both nozzles must be changed (right and left hand side).
  • Page 41 STEP 2: Change gas pressure setting. Refer to dataplate coming with the conversion kit for the new supply/nozzle pressure to be set. Follow the procedure described in the paragraphs “Checking the pressure”, “Supply pressure” and “Nozzle pres- sure” to adjust the new working pressure required. IMPORTANT! On models G 21.35, G 26.35 and G.50, both nozzles and solenoid valves must be regulated (right and left hand side).

Switch on the machine. Soap bubbles indicate a gas leak. Eliminate the gas leak. Before switching off the appliance, carry out a complete work session to ensure that the burner components work properly.

Steam connection must be realized in conformity with national legal requirements. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible should these regulations not be observed. RECOMMENDED STEAM CONNECTION SYSTEM STEAM CONNECTION A manual shut-off valve, a filter, a pressure regulator and a pressure gauge in the steam input line should be installed.
