  • Page 22: Background Of Temperature Coefficients

Adjustment and Calibration Background of temperature coefficients This is a topic that is frequently misunderstood and often neglected in hemodialysis. A solution’s conductivity will change according to temperature. With increasing temperatures, the measured solution’s conductivity will increase, too. To achieve meaningful measurement results, the conductivity value displayed is compensated to 25°C.

  • Page 33 Adjustment and Calibration Pressure The pressure transducer has no nonlinear drift so an adjustment is normally not necessary. Use the tare function to balance the pressure transducers environmental pressure change drift. The pressure channel is adjusted using 7 sampling points. This improves the accuracy of the pressure measurement, because it recalculates slightly nonlinearities of the pressure transducer.
  • Page 34 Adjustment and Calibration Conductivity The adjustment of the conductivity channel is done by adjusting the cell parameter. To achieve this only one adjustment point is necessary. Point Display Cell parameter Initial Conductivity "CD xx.xx°" 0.xxxx 14.000 mS/cm First of all set the displayed adjustment value to the value of your reference solution. Then make sure that the solution has a stable temperature of exactly 25.00 °C.
