Description Of Unit The tractor incorporates four wheels, two rear driving and two front steering. Power is supplied by an internal combustion engine which drives the rear wheels through an automatic transmission.

    CHARLATTE AMERICA, INC. CT5G GASOLINE CARGO TRACTOR B. Components/Systems 1. Chassis The chassis is fabricated of formed steel plates that are then welded in a fixture to assure parts interchange ability. The entire assembly is then cleaned, primed, and painted.

    CHARLATTE AMERICA, INC. CT5G GASOLINE CARGO TRACTOR 7. Rear Brakes Self adjusting disc type brakes are used on the rear of the tractor and are actuated by ½ of the master cylinder. (See Chapter 5 for more detailed information.) 8. Rear Suspension The rear suspension consists of leaf springs, which are mounted to the rear of the axle by mounting blocks to maintain the correct mounting location.

Turn Signal Switch The turn signal light switch is located to the left of the steering wheel, below the headlight switch, on the operators dash. Rotating the switch to the right (clockwise) will operate the turn signals on the right side of the tractor.

Check Battery Voltage Light The check battery voltage light is located to the right of the steering wheel, below the check oil / coolant temperature light. If light is illuminated, the charging system is not charging the battery with proper voltage, and should be checked.
