1. Overview MKC-704KHD is the ultra-small HDTV camera equipped with the 1/3 inch 3CMOS sensor for medical field, microscope, slit lamp, operation theatre light, especially Endoscopy. The sensitivity of near infrared light has been improved. And the fluorescence, such as ICG and 5-ALA can be observed. It equips the 4K signal output as a standard, and it performs highly image resolution to detail. -

2.2. CCU Front Power button This is the power on/off Switch of the MKC-704KHD. White balance button This executes the automatic white balance function. (Page16) Electronic shutter button This controls electronic shutter speed automatically, and adjusts to the most suitable output level. - Page 12 Arrow keys This is used for selecting a menu item. And, it is possible to confirm the scene file of each key. 2.3. CCU Back VBS OUT (SD) connector A VBS-input-compatible monitor etc. is connected here. A coaxial cable with a 75 impedance should be used for connection. S-VIDEO OUT (SD) connector An S-VIDEO-input-compatible monitor etc. is connected here. 3.2. Powering Up Before power-up, make sure that the external equipment, such as the camera head and a monitor, is connected properly. Power up the external devices such as a monitor Turn ON the main power switch on the CCU back. The supplied power cable should always be connected to the AC inlet on the CCU back. -
Page 18: Setting A White Balance
3.3. Setting a White Balance When using MKC-704KHD for the first time, or when the light source has been changed, adjust the White Balance. The white balance can be adjusted automatically. Operation Shoot a white photographic object on the screen largely, and press the white balance button. - Page 19 When “AWB ERROR” appears, the white balance is not adjusted successfully. Recheck the image pickup conditions (a white subject, brightness, etc.), and readjust the white balance. If the image level is too low. If the image level is too high. When the automatic adjustment is complete, the light of the auto white button will go out automatically.

3.4. Adjusting a Paint After white balance adjustment it is possible with the MKC-704KHD to carry out fine adjustment of the red level and blue level/density of picture as desire of user. Operation 1. Turn the color correction volume (red) and the one (blue) to make adjustments. -

3.5. Adjusting an AE Level The MKC-704KHD can adjust a shutter speed, sensitivity Iris gain, and an iris automatically, according to the preset exposure level. A screen becomes easy to see by raising the level when the screen is too dark, or reducing it when too bright. -
Page 22: Outputting A Still Image
3.6. Outputting a Still Image It is possible on the MKC-700HD to temporarily stop moving image output and switch to freeze frame output. Operation Press the freeze button. A still image will be output immediately. While a still image is output, the freeze button lights up. Freeze button To unfreeze the image, press the freeze button again. -

3.7. Outputting Color Bars It is possible with the MKC-704KHD to output a color bar. This is used when adjusting the color monitor brightness, contrast, etc. Operation Press the color bar button. Color bars will be output immediately. While color bars are output, the color bar button is lit in green. -

5.1.2 Setting Observing the SYNC output waveforms of the master and the slave CCU, adjust PHASE so that H/V phases may become consistent with each other. The slave one (whose GENLOCK connector is connected) should be a target for the adjustment. - Page 41 You can set the position and size of a metering frame by using the part of the Slanted line. Setting the Position It is possible to move a frame of the slanted line part using in the CCU front ,and to fix the location of a metering frame using decision' button.( A fixed part is indicated by a white frame.) But, The size of the frame of the slanted line part which becomes a basis can't be changed.
