    When lit, this yellow LED indicates the Perle 594 has detected a problem that requires diagnosis. (See PD Guide) This yellow LED is lit when the Perle 594 is in test mode, configuration mode, or when the Concurrent Diagnostics feature is enabled.

    594 PD Quick Reference Normal Power-On Display Sequence After the Perle 594 power button is depressed the following sequence of events will occur. All of the operator panel LEDs are lit for one (1) second. All of the operator panel LEDs are switched off for one (1) second.

    (POST) extended diagnostics are running. The Perle 594 has completed the POST and is in normal operation mode. The Perle 594 is in configuration mode or information can be viewed concurrently. An error exists on the Perle 594 that requires service.

    SRCs (aaaaaa(##)) are displayed on the right side of the bottom line of the operator panel LCD. They indicate an action required to resolve a problem or a 594 system error. SRCs range in length from 3 to 6 digits and can be generated by POST or the Perle 594 controller software.

  • Page 28 594 PD Quick Reference The wrong diskette is in the diskette drive. Use the 594 Base Controller Software or 594 Network Controller Software Diskette to start up in normal operating mode. There is no configuration file in CMOS or on the 594 Controller Software Diskette.

If the problem continues, contact your 594 service representative. Two unconfigured Type B Token-Ring cards have been installed in the 594e at the same time.
