The lenses contain a galvanometer drive.
The galvanometer is either driven directly
(variable DC voltage control) or by means
of an amplifier (AI control) in the lens.
AI: Auto iris

II Connection methods
1. Camera with standard iris control output
a) AI lenses
b) DC control lenses

Auto iris models are driven - as usual - by
video signal, outside accessible potentio-
meters are used for „Level" and „ALC"
adjustments. The required control PCB has
to be integrated in the camera if DC control
types are used.
Once the lens has been screwed into the
camera, the slip clutch mechanism on the
threated joint allows radial turning of up to
340°, for example to locate the cable
connection at the desired point.
