The KiwiSat
202 PTT is turned on and off using a magnetic switch and a red LED to indicate the current status. A system of LED
flashes indicate if the PTT is turned on or off.
1. Activating a KiwiSat
Hold a magnet over the silver spot or the dimple on the front right and apply the magnet. (If the package also contains a
VHF transmitter then the silver spots will be marked 'P' for PTT and 'V' for VHF).
NOTE: The location of the silver spots and dimples will vary from pictured.
LED
When the LED lights, hold the magnet in place for about a second until the LED turns off and then remove the magnet.
The LED will flash 10 times to indicate the PTT is activating.
For additional assurance that the PTT has been turned on correctly, the PTT test beeper supplied can be held next to the
PTT antenna and will beep each time the PTT transmits.
