Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the LINDY USB 2.0 Cat.5 Extender. This product has been designed to
provide trouble free, reliable operation. It benefits from both a LINDY 2 year warranty and free lifetime
technical support. To ensure correct use, please read this manual carefully and retain it for future
reference.
The USB Cat.5 Extender is composed of a transmitting and receiving unit, and enables any USB host
device to send data up to 50 metres. In addition, by adding an additional USB Hub several USB
devices can be connected.

Installation
Transmitter:
Plug the USB A plug of the Transmitter into a USB A female port of your PC or laptop
Connect a Cat.5/6 cable up to 50 metres long with the other end connected to the RJ45 port on the
Receiver (see below)
Receiver:
Connect your USB device such as keyboard, mouse, printer, webcam, hard disk drive, etc. with a
standard USB cable to the USB A female port
Power DC 5V Jack: Plug the supplied 5V 2.1A DC power supply into the unit and connect the
adaptor to an AC wall outlet.
Connect a Cat.5/6 cable up to 50 metres long with the other end connected to the RJ45 port on the
Transmitter (see above)
