    1800W MITER SAW DOUBLE INSULATION The power tool is double insulated. This means that all the external metal parts are electrically insulated from the main power supply. This is done by placing insulation barriers between the electrical and mechanical components making it unnecessary for the power tool to be earthed. IMPORTANT NOTE Be sure the supply is the same as the voltage given on the rating plate.

  • Page 14 1800W MITER SAW Warning: Do not lift the saw whilst holding on to the guards. Use the carrying handle. 3. Transportation Lift the mitre saw only when the saw arm is locked in the down position, the saw is switched off and the plug is removed from the power point.
  • Page 15 1800W MITER SAW (See Fig 7). Use the clamp assembly lock at the back of the fence to secure the clamp assembly in position (See Fig 8). 10. Spindle lock button The spindle lock button prevents the blade in the saw from rotating (See Fig 9). Depress and hold the spindle lock button while installing, changing, or removing the blade.
  • Page 16 1800W MITER SAW 3) Loosen the mitre lock (See Fig 19). 4) Rotate the table until the pointer is positioned at 0º. 5) Tighten the mitre lock. 6) Loosen the bevel lock and set the saw arm at 0º bevel (the blade at 90º to the mitre table). Tighten the bevel lock (See Fig 20).

The release knob can be turned so that it is held in the retracted position (See Fig 30). 3) Raise the saw arm to its highest position. 4) Using a screwdriver loosen and remove the screw that secures the guard retraction arm to the rotating blade guard (See Fig 31).
  • Page 18 1800W MITER SAW 6) When cutting long pieces of timber, support the opposite end of the timber with the side support bars, a roller stand or a work surface that is level with the saw table. 7) Use the clamp assembly to secure the workpiece wherever possible. 8) It is possible to remove the clamp assembly by loosening the clamp assembly lock and moving it to the other side of the table.
