    When transporting The CPS Rover on a truck or trailer, after driving the machine onto the trailer or truck, be sure to jack the machine down to where the head is parallel with the floor and secure. Strap the machine down across non-moving parts to ensure safety and stability of the machine during transport.

    The following information is intended to provide you with general instruction on how to properly operate your Rover machine. Be sure to follow all workplace safety regulations and rules when operating the machine. Training in proper techniques and methods is available through CPS and its distributors.     5. Place the tooling of choice securely onto the plates. 6 .Return the machine to the upright position. 7 .Reconnect Rover Platform/ VacPac Platform by inserting pins securely. If using Rover VacPac Platform, be sure to reconnect VacPac power source before attempting work.
  • Page 12 5.4 Attaching the Dust Skirt Your Rover machine includes a dust skirt that should be placed on the machine before machine operation. The dust skirt is lined with velcro for easy attachment and removal from the bottom of the safety shroud. 1.
  • Page 13 OSHA requirements when wet or dry-grinding. On the CPS Rover, locate the black hose, which sits on the platform of The Rover, below the seat. Connect the hose tightly to either a dust interceptor or the hose on the CS Rover VacPac Platform. To attach a dust interceptor or vacuum system for heavier grinding, locate the hose connection on the Rover and connect the vacuum hose securely.

    6.5 Wet Grinding The CPS Rover is equipped with both a gravity fed water system as well as a misting system. To use the gravity fed system, locate the valve on the side of the water tank. Be sure your machine water tank is full before beginning. Simply turn the valve to begin gravity fed water system.

    MAINTENANCE CPS Machines are meant to be low-maintenance for the owner/operator, though there is some important routine maintenance that should be done. See the Maintenance Checklist in the Maintenance Index (located in the back of this manual) for more information.

    8.2 Repairs All repairs for CPS Machines must be completed by an authorized CPS service technician. Contact CPS or your retailer to locate certified service centers. Repairs must be completed by trained specialists who have been authorized by CPS to repair our machines.
