Bolt on hood strut kit (99-04 all)

Tools Required:

 8mm Socket

 10mm Deep Socket

 Ratchet

 Small extension if needed

1. Open the hood and prop it up. Start on either side.

2. Remove the second to last bolt on the fender.

Install the bracket and install the bolt back into it. Tighten the bolt back into the same hole it was removed

from.

Page 1 MMD Bolt On Hood Strut Kit (99-04 ALL) Tools Required:  8mm Socket  10mm Deep Socket  Ratchet  Small extension if needed Installation Instructions: 1. Open the hood and prop it up. Start on either side. 2. Remove the second to last bolt on the fender.
Page 2 4. Use a 10mm Deep socket to remove the top nut off the hood prop, and loosen the second bolt a majority of the way. 5. Slide the bracket on. Line up the holes on the top and reinstall the top bolt, tighten down the bottom bolt.
Page 3 6. Pop on the struts onto the base, then onto the hood. 7. Repeat the same steps on the opposite side. 8. Check alignment of the hood. If the hood doesn’t latch properly or doesn’t sit down correctly when latched, you can adjust the position of the props and of the hood bump stops.
