Configuring the Honeywell for Background Scanning

The instructions below are for computers running Windows Vista or greater, and are only tested with
Lobby Track 7 using the US Keyboard emulation. These instructions are only provided as a guide, and the
full manual for the Honeywell Voyager 1200G can be downloaded from the
Lobby Track version 7 and either the Honeywell Voyager 1200G or 1202G.
1. Set the scanner to USB Keyboard Mode. This mode automatically adds a CR and LF for the
Voyager 1200G and a CR for the Voyager 1202G.
2. Enable Windows Mode Control + X. This will enable the scanner to send the ASCII control
characters for STX (start of text) and ETX (end of text).
3. Add the STX Prefix. This is a series of barcodes that need to be scanned in order.
a. Scan the Add Prefix barcode.
b. Scan 9 twice in order to apply this to all barcode types.
