Instructions for use 1. Loosen both compressors so the compressor hooks are at, or close to, their maximum distance apart. Remember the tool will need more length to release the tension when the spring is removed from the tool. 2. Place each compressor either side of the coil spring opposite each other. Ensure the compressor hooks are an equal distance apart. 3. Tighten each compressor just enough to hold them in place and fit the safety hooks as shown across the backs of the single hooks. 4. Once the clamps are secure continue to compress the spring tightening each compressor 10mm at a time. NB: always tighten the compressors evenly so the spring is compressed evenly. If the spring begins to bend or the clamps start to slide stop loading the compressors immediately. 5. Once the strut top cap can be rotated it can be removed. 6. It is just as important to be careful when removing the tool from the spring if, for example, you are changing the spring for a new one. 7. Care should also be taken when compressing the new spring ready to fit the damper.
