The default temperature setting of 10 appears on the display. As
,
soon as the appliance has heated up to this setting, the word
'READY' appears on the display (Fig. ).
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged in. Never put
the appliance on a surface that is not heat-resistant when it is heating
up and when it is hot.
Tip: If you lock the plates with the closing lock, the straightener heats up
more quickly.
 Select a temperature setting that is suitable for your hair
type (Fig. ).
- Always select a low temperature setting when you use the
straightener for the first time.
- For coarse, curly or hard-to-straighten hair, select a medium to high
setting (170 and up).
- For fine, medium-textured or softly waved hair, select a medium to
low setting (160 and down).
Take extra care with pale, blonde, bleached or colour-treated hair, since
it is susceptible to damage at high temperatures.
 To set the temperature, press the + button to increase the
temperature setting or press the - button to decrease the
temperature setting (Fig. ).
The display shows the selected temperature setting.

When the appliance has heated up to the selected setting, the word
,
'READY' appears on the display.
The bars on the display show the remaining usage time of the
,
appliance. The total usage time is 60 minutes. Every ten minutes one
of the six bars disappears. After 60 minutes, the appliance switches
off automatically.
5 Comb or brush your hair so that it is disentangled and
smooth. (Fig. 5)
6 Use a comb to divide the hair into sections. Do not put too much
hair in one section.
