MAGELLAN MSS UNIVERSAL BRACKET INSTALLATION
The Universal Bracket Kit will connect the customer to a wide variety of TV satellites, the most
common is DirecTV satellite 101.
Next, you will need to determine which side of the dish arm you will attach the bracket to.
(FOR DIRECTV & DISH NETWORK)
The Universal Bracket (sometimes referred
to a "Bird-on-the-Wire" or BOW) will
allow a Direcway dish customer to watch
DirecTV at the same time they are surfing
the Internet.
The Universal Bracket is just an LNB that
connects the customers DirecTV receiver
to the MSS. Before you perform an
installation, you must be aware of which
DirecTV satellite the customer is using.
The first step in installation is to raise the
satellite dish, and then
MSS and the Direcway Satellite Modem.
You do not want to install a Universal
Bracket if the dish is active in any way.

Sometimes the customer’s current DirecTV satellite receiver will not work because it is too many degrees offset from their Direcway satellite. In this case, you will need to switch a customers DirecTV service to a different DirecTV satellite.
