INTRODUCTION

One tap is all it takes! TapCan is the smartest, most effortless pedal trash can ever invented. Unlike step cans that
require you to apply foot pressure and hold the pedal down for the lid to open, our patented technology opens, then
automatically closes, the lid with just one tap. Or, double tap the pedal for a timed, five-minute lid open. You can tap the
pedal again at any time to manually close the lid. The enhanced, energy-saving technology extends the life of the battery
up to 3 years with just 4 D-sized alkaline batteries. The elegant, fingerprint- and smudge-resistant, brushed stainless

steel finish complements any room. TapCan is the smartest, easiest trash can you will ever use!
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Install 4 D-sized alkaline batteries in the battery compartment in the bottom of the back of TapCan. If you have

purchased a TapCan AC Power Adapter, you may plug it into TapCan.
Turn on the power switch to "I" mode. The LED light will flash blue.

Open the trash can lid by tapping the pedal (LED flashes blue). The lid will automatically open and stay open for 5

seconds. It will then automatically close. Double tap the pedal (LED flashes green) to cause the lid to stay open for 5
minutes. Step and hold the pedal (LED lights up blue) to manually keep the lid open until you release the pedal, then
it will close automatically in 5 seconds.
4) Insert a 13 gallon garbage bag through Trash Bag Retainer Ring to secure and hide the trash bag inside the trash
can. (See HOW TO USE THE TRASH BAG RETAINER RING)
Unwrap and install the Activated Carbon Filter:

a. Open Deodorizer Compartment under the lid (Picture )
b. Remove the Activated Carbon Filter from its plastic bag
c. Put the Activated Carbon Filter back into the Deodorizer
Compartment
d. Lock the tab to secure the Deodorizer Compartment
