1. Software installation under Windows*

Connect Expert Opto Bridge 0404 to the USB port of your
PC. Now the enclosed FTDI driver can be installed. Insert the
CD ROM Drivers, Tools & Manuals into the CD drive of the PC
or download the latest driver version from:
www.gude.info/nc/support/downloads
Follow the screen dialogue of the installation program. A
detailed installation guide can be found at
www.gude.info/wiki

2. Operations under Windows*

After successfull installation of the software, the RS232
interface will be displayed as virtual COM port. Now the
appliance can be connected to the serial interface of Expert
Opto Bridge 0404. In addition to the data lines (receiver
and transmitter lines), two handshake lines are supported
in both directions (RTS/CTS). The LED on Expert Opto Bridge
0404 serves as status monitor for data transmission RxD
and TxD. The pin configuration of the serial plug is DTE
compliant.

For data transmission between two identical interfaces,
please deploy a null-modem. All functions of Expert Opto
Bridge 0404 are possible without external power supply.
