Instructions - please read !
Inflation:
- For first time use allow the mat to partially self inflate by opening the inflation valve and inserting
the toggle attached to the inflation valve cap. Leave mat for about 1 hour. Then inflate completely
by using the Mini Pump and close inflation valve. Now leave the mat for 24 hours in a warm envi-
ronment to allow the inner foam layer to recover to its full volume. If time is tight for this procedure,
inflate fully using the the Mini Pump and then use the mat.
- In normal use, once in camp, unroll the mat, then open the inflation valve. To speed up inflation of
the mat, insert the toggle attached to the valve cap into the inflation valve.
- After long rolled up storage, use same procedure as for first time use.
- For 1st time use allow the mat to self inflate by opening the inflation valve and leaving it for 2 days
in a warm environment, then top off by mouth. To speed up inflation of the mat, insert the toggle at-
tached to the valve cap into the inflation valve. If there is no time for this procedure, just inflate fully
by mouth.
- In normal use once in camp, unroll and spread out the mat, then open the valve. To speed up infla-
tion of the mat, insert the toggle attached to the valve cap into the inflation valve. The foam inside
will gradually expand and inflate the mat.
- Inflate to personal comfort level. The more you inflate the mat, the warmer and firmer it will be. This
is a question of individual preference. Let comfort guide you.
- The valve cap is most easily closed by pressing down with one thumb at cap hinge while walking
your other thumb around the edge of the cap.
- To reduce the pressure in order to make the mat softer while lying on it, open the valve, then press
in the inner one way flap allowing air to escape.
Use and Care:
- Use the packsack as a pillow by stuffing it with clothes and cover with a fleece sweater for added
comfort.
- Mat converted to chair: check out Exped's Chair Kit which provides luxurious seating in combina-
tion with the mat and doubles as a protective cover.
- Since the abrasive force of dirt is a fabric's primary enemy, use mild soap and water to occasionally
wash the mat. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Beware of exposure to heat: Do not expose an inflated mat to direct sunlight or heat sources. This
may cause the air to expand and put excessive pressure on the seams which could then fail.
- Keep mat away from sharp objects like thorns, corals, jagged stones or similar.
- Just like a bicycle tire, punctures can occur. For conditions or trips where a puncture is more likely,
Exped recommends the use of a closed cell foam mat (e.g. Exped MultiMat) for added durability, as
a backup mat and as a tent floor cover when not sleeping. As a protecting cover for the mat, check

- Do not use mechanical air pumps which could lead to excessive pressure and ruptured seams.
- Check valve periodically to ensure a positive seal. Debris can be removed with a damp cloth.
Deflation and Packing:
- Open the valve and slide attached deflation pin into valve to keep one-way-flap open.
- Begin at the foot end. With deflation valve open, roll the mat up loosely and kneel on the bundle to
remove most of the air.
- Pull out deflation pin and close the valve.
- Unfold mat completely and re-fold lengthwise to match the mat's stuff sack.
- From the foot end, roll the mat as tightly as possible, expelling the air. As pressure builds up, open
the valve again and slide deflation pin into valve to keep it open.
- When all air is expelled, pull out deflation pin and close the valve.
- Slip rolled mat into the stuffsack.
Storage:
- We recommend storing the mat unrolled with both valves open in a dry and cool area e.g. under
the bed or behind the couch.
- When storing your mat take care to keep it away from pets. Sharp claws and teeth kill mats.
Tips and Tricks:
- Moving the mat from a warm to a cold place can drastically reduce the volume of the mat. This may
look like a leak, but it is perfectly normal physics!
- Variations in pressure: When moving to and from different elevations by air travel or from sea level
into higher altitudes, we recommend the valves be left open. This will make it easier to remove the
mat from the packsack.

Aufblasen:
- Beim ersten Gebrauch die Matte aufgehen lassen! Öffne dazu das Ventil und stecke das Stäbchen
am Ventildeckel ins Aufblasventil. Lass die Matte etwa 1 Stunde ruhen. Nun mit dem Mund die
Matte vollständig aufblasen und das Ventil schliessen. Lass die Matte nun 24 Studen in warmer
Umgebung ruhen, damit sich der innere Schaum voll entfalten kann. Ist für dieses Prozedere
keine Zeit, dann die Matte beim ersten Mal mit dem Mund vollständig aufblasen und die Matte
gebrauchen.
- Im normalen Gebrauch öffne, sobald Du am Campplatz ankommst, das Ventil und überlasse die
Matte sich selbst, damit sie sich selbst aufbläst. Um den Lufteinsaugvorgang zu beschleunigen,
stecke das Stäbchen, das am Deckel des Einlassventils befestigt ist, ins Ventil, so dass das grüne
Rückschlagventilblättchen aufgehalten wird.
- Nach langer aufgerollter Lagerung wende dasselbe Prozedere wie beim ersten Gebrauch an.
- Die gewünschte Prallheit individuell einstellen: Je voller die Matte, desto wärmer und schaukelfreier
ist sie.
- Um den Ventildeckel zu schliessen diesen reihum mit dem Daumen in die Fassung drücken.
- Willst Du während Du auf der Matte liegst, etwas Luft ablassen, öffne das Ventil und drücke mit
dem Finger auf die innere grüne Einweg-Ventilklappe, so dass etwas Luft herausströmen kann,
dann verschliesse das Ventil wieder.
Gebrauch und Pflege:
- Der Packsack lässt sich als Kopfkissen nutzen indem dieser mit Kleidern gestopft wird und evtl.
noch mit einem Pullover überzogen wird.
- Matte als Sitz: Wir empfehlen den optionalen Chairkit von Exped, der zugleich schützender Matten
Überzug sowie superbequemer Outdoor-Sessel darstellt!
- Als 'Bettlaken' empfiehlt sich ein Mat Sheet oder Cozy Sheet on Exped, die zudem mit Schlaufen
versehen sind, an denen sich der Schlafsack Dreamwalker Uno für die Einzelmatte oder Dream-
walker Duo für die Doppelmatte anknüpfen lässt!
- Schmutz ist der Feind jeden Textilprodukts, da die feinen Staubkörner die Fasern stetig aber sicher
zermahlen. Darum von Zeit zu Zeit die Matte mit Seife und Wasser waschen, jedoch auf keinen
Fall in die Waschmaschine oder Tumbler stecken.
- Halte die Matte fern von Hitzequellen oder praller Sonne, da die expandierende Luft darin im Ex-
tremfall zu Nahtablösung führen kann.
- Halte die Matte fern von scharfen Gegenständen wie Dornen, Korallen, spitzen Steinen, Nadel-
