freshly purchased kit along with these installation instructions to one of our recommended
installers or to any other professional installer in your area. We offer full technical support
all the way up to a successful installation finale.
If you will be installing the kit yourself then it is recommended to do so in a clean,
spacious, well lit and climate controlled garage without pressing time constraints. The
installation does involve disassembling many areas of your vehicle so it's best to take your
time, be gentle, careful and diligent in keeping track of which screw and clip came from
where to reinstall the parts correctly.
Please read the instructions in full before beginning the installation and have a thorough
look at the below installation video. While it is not explicitly for your vehicle it is very
similar.

The dip switches on the camera module should be set as follows:
#1 - always ON
#2 - OFF (for connecting the Front View Camera to AV1 input)
#3 - ON (if set to ON AV2 is disabled)
#4 - ON(if set to ON AV3 is disabled)
#5 - ON/OFF (default OFF)
#6 - ON/OFF (default OFF)
#7 - ON (if set to ON the rear view camera mode is enabled)
#8 - always OFF
If the screen does not work or the rear view camera picture does not show in reverse
please try one of the below settings for dip switches #5 and #6:
#5- ON, #6 - ON
#5- ON, #6 - OFF
#5- OFF, #6 - ON
#5- OFF, #6 – OFF
Every time you change dip switches please disconnect the POWER connector from the
MMI to allow the DIP changes to take effect.
Use the attached PDF to install the camera in the trunk lid and run the camera wiring to
the dashboard.
The multimedia interface you received is different from the one in the PDF, so please
follow the below instructions to connect it to the screen:
The rear camera extension cable splits into two cables (yellow RCA plug and white
connector) which should be connected:
- white connector directly to the multimedia interface R-CAM
- yellow RCA to yellow RCA in the AV (IN/OUT) wiring
The front camera extension cable connects to a adaptor cable (that ends with a yellow

  • Page 4 The simplest and most efficient way to route the Front View Camera wire through the firewall is to drill a hole in the existing grommet, as shown below. Be sure to drill a large enough hole (yellow dot), so that the plastic clip will easily fit through, while being extremely careful not to make contact with any other wires.
  • Page 6 Since your vehicle has a mesh grille you can simply unscrew the camera lens and install it through the grille mesh from the inside and screw it back together. Then connect the camera to the extension cable and heat shrink the connection. You should be able to do this without removing the bumper cover.
  • Page 7 the camera works fine you can now secure the camera cable with cable ties to prevent it from moving around. After the cable is in its final location seal the hole you made in the grommet with black silicone. Proceed to reassemble all of the trim pieces. To turn on the reverse camera simply engage reverse gear.
