Congratulations on the purchase of the NMEA 2000 WiFi Replicator! The NMEA 2000 WiFi Replicator lets you connect your PC’s, Mac’s, tablets, or smartphones to an NMEA 2000® network so you can monitor and control your vessel using the App or PC/Mac Software.

Replicator is connected to Wi-Fi Router This is the preferred use of the Replicator, due to not interfering with already existing WI-FI environments.
Figure 3: Server/Client Operation Mode. The Replicator acts as an Access Point for the clients and serves the N2K Data directly to the clients. In this case, the mobile or terminal devices do not detour but register at the Replicator and are provided with network data right away.
1. Integration into NMEA2000® network The Replicator can be integrated into any desired location of a NMEA2000® backbone. Either a free port ( M12, 5Pin, female ) on the backbone, or an additional T-connector as an extension are then needed. It is equally possible to connect the Replicator at the end of a drop cable.

Connect your smartphone, tablet or PC via network settings with the now visible access point “REPLICATOR-AP”. See Figure 4. The associated password can be found on the back of the device. Figure 4: WiFi-Settings on Smartphone Finish the setup by typing the IP-address of the Replicator ( 10.10.1.1 ) and the TCP port ( 1343 ) , if you already have an appropriate app or software on your device.
Advanced Setup The advanced setup is interpreted for occasions, when the customer wants to change the current operation mode. The integrated setup wizard helps to carry out some adjustments easily. By pressing and holding the SETUP pin on the frontside of your Replicator for about 3-5 seconds you call up the setup wizard.

Setup wizard - Device Settings 2.1. You may now choose how to operate the Replicator. It recommended to connect your Replicator with the router, if you have an already existing WiFi environment onboard. Therefore, you have to switch from access point mode to station mode.
