Overall risk assessment

Use of the bath seat is not dangerous if the correct usage described here is observed.
The manufacture and materials used satisfy EU guidelines, the German law on medical
products, and the standards for medical products.
3.2.

General safety guidelines

Risk of slipping!
When sitting down and standing up in the bathtub.
When getting into or out of the bath, frail individuals may slip. Carers should check
that the bath seat is firmly in place.
Watch out for fingers!
Take care when placing fingers in the gap between the frame and the seat, and
when putting the bath seat in the tub, as fingers might become trapped.
Take care that fingers and genitalia do not become trapped in the seat holes.
