BASE: Tension 36 (PT2 Loos Gauge)
+2 turns
+3 turns
Forestay Length Measurement
1. Take the jib halyard and hold it alongside
the mast.
2. While keeping firm tension on the halyard,
mark the halyard where it meets the top of
the deck collar.
3. Swing the halyard out to the forestay and
pull the halyard tight.
4. Mark the forestay alongside the mark you
have previously put on the halyard.
5. Measure down from this mark to the bolt
above the furler where the forestay attaches.
6. Forestay length should be 870mm.
