. OPERATING 'INSTRUCTIONS FOR BOOTHROYD STUART
MERIDIAN Ml ACTIVE LOUDSPEAKER
The Boothroyd Stuart Meridian Ml Active Loudspeaker
is a precision musical transducer of advanced design.
In order to achieve the very best results from the
loudspeaker it will be necessary to read this
instruction sheet and spend some time in careful
listening to arrive at the final position
in the
room.
If you are in any doubt please consult your dealer.
Do not connect the loudspeaker without reading the
section on connection.
Unpacking
Carefully remove the electronics section in the
separate carton and take care not to discard any
plugs and spare leads supplied.
Lay the large
pack on its side and carefully slide the loud-
speakerenclosure.out.
Retain all packing materials
for future use.
If supplied, keep all test documents
under the amplifier tray for future reference.
Take
care not to hold the cabinet at the back where the
ABR drive unit is located.
Cabinets finished in ash veneer with a painted
topcoat, should be cleaned!with normal furniture
creams or aerosol polishes but no other solvents
must be used.
Oiled wood finishes must be treated
with suitable
oils and not polish.
The 'Crimplene'
grille and back cloth may be brushed clean and
sponged with a damp cloth if necessary.
The Ml Active Loudspeaker is designed to accept
signals from either (i) a pre-amplifier source or
head amplifier with variable output or (ii) a
balanced line signal from a mixer or professional
pre-amplifier.
