Depression of this button initiates the
enciphering process. Its release terminates
this process

The POST SCRIPTUM mode permits plain
text to be inserted at the end of the
enciphered message
ENCI button
Beginning of enciphering process
OUTPUT button
The message held in the crypto-
memory is put out. Output is stopped
by operating this button during
message output
M. P. button
The message is transferred to the crypto-
memory
PLAIN button
Permits plain text operation in the
off-line mode
CORR button
The message put in for deciphering or
enciphering, using the buffer, can be
corrected character by character.
DECI button
Cut-over to the deciphering mode
