condition when they come from o
store. lf you use nickel-codmium's,
you probobly hove to chorge them
before using your Wolkie-Tolkie. The
best woy to do this is to chorge them
in the set, using the Tondy power
supply/chorger designed for this unit
(Cotologue Number 21 -9902).
Chorging time will be 9 to I I hours.
Do.not overchorge ond try to
rechorge regulor or olkoline
botteries. Also do not ottempt to
operote unit while botteries ore
being rechorged.

3. lf you ore using olkoline type AA
penlight botteries, use the dummy
botteries indicoted below.
4. Check bottery condition os
follows'
A. Turn power on by rototing
VO LUME Control cl ockwi-se.
B. Press BATTERY TEST.
C. lf the BATTERY TEST LED lishts,
the botteries ore OK. The
-
botteries need to be rechorged or
reploced if this LED does not light
when you press the button.
