    GENERAL INTRODUCTION The “AreaExpert” Area Radiation Monitor is a device designed for continuously measuring, logging and reporting of ionized radiation doses in areas with ionized radiation. The device is capable of measuring ionized radiation within the range of 0-1 R/h with ±10% accuracy.

This display offers a monthly comparative study.   • Page 18 CAPINTEC, INC AreaExpert Alarm Levels The data obtained by the device are evaluated based on two user-defined alarm levels. Alarm levels consist of two stages: high and low alarm levels. Setting Alarm Levels − To access the Alarm Level Settings screen, touch the Alarm Limits button on the Settings menu.

  • Page 20 CAPINTEC, INC AreaExpert System Settings The System Settings menu includes settings for the language, password, time and date of the device. Setting the Language To change the device's language settings: − Touch the Language button on the System Settings menu.
  • Page 21 CAPINTEC, INC. AreaExpert Password Setting Screen − If a password is not required for accessing the Settings Menu, delete the displayed password on the Password Setting screen and touch the Save button. This will remove the password inquiry when accessing the Settings Menu.

AreaExpert Unit Setting Screen Advanced Settings The Advanced Settings contains functions for deleting device data, updating the device software, accessing CenterExpert over a network connection and viewing device information. Delete Operations The Delete Operations module is used to delete the data logs, alarm logs, statistics data and detected warning messages.
  • Page 24 CAPINTEC, INC AreaExpert − To delete all statistical data, touch the Confirm button. This begins the deletion of the device's statistics data. This process may take several seconds. − To cancel statistics deletion, exit the process by pressing the Back button.

(Downloading the update file indicates that you accept the conditions listed in the description and warnings.) − Transfer the ".aex" extension file you downloaded to a USB memory device.
