USER INSTRUCTIONS
1. Hold the bottom segment of the calibration tool, lift the back
upward, and slide it into the locked-upright position.
2. In a bright and evenly lit area, place the Lens Calibration Tool
on a flat surface or mount it on a leveled stand. Make sure the
camera and target are level and in-line with each other.
3. Use the widest aperture, focus on the center of the target, and
take a photo.
4. Review the image at 100% magnification, and examine the
intersection between the target and ruler. If your AF is accurate,
the 0 line will fall in the center of your depth of field. If it's not
accurate, the focus will fall in front of (front focusing) or behind
(back focusing) the 0 line. For example:
Front focus offset
5. Using the ruler as a guide, go to your camera's AF Fine Tune or
AF Micro Adjustment menu, and enter the tested offset value.
6. Shoot a second image to verify focus accuracy.
