The product is intended for use in closed buildings. The keypad modules control individual functions of third-party media devices that have an RS232 interface. The desired control function is programmed using the “CARDINAL DVM Keypad Module System Configurator” software and transferred to the third-party media device via the RS232 interface by pressing a key on the module.

The keypad modules can communicate via a central serial interface (COM 1) on the power supply unit.
