Problem
Espresso flows out of the side of the
portafilter
Machine is leaking- wate runder
the machine
Leaking water between the body
and brew group
Steam and/ or condensed water is
leaking out of the noiler top
Water is replenished, the pump runs dry,
there is no water getting into the
brew group
Reason
Portafilter is not inserted properly
Too much espresso in the basket
The edge of the portafilter is dirty
Gasket is blocked
Seal gaskets
possible lose screw
In the boiler top is a vacuum valve. This
prevents that when the machine is cooling
down, no vacuum is formed. When the ope-
rating pressure is reached, the valve closes.
This may be delayed by Limescale formation.
The pump has run empty and has sucked air.
Solution
inspect portafilter
Check the amount of espresso
Clean the edge of the portafilter
Replace gasket
Replace gaskets through a service partner
Tightending of screw by a service partner
Decalcifying or possibly replacing of boiler top.
Remove water tank. Seal tank coupling with the thumb and run pump
until a slight vacuum forms. Then insert the tank again.
