W hen operating as a backup device, Preset 10 Portable m onitors the DMX512 output from your lighting console. If console output is lost, Preset 10 Portable begins transm itting to m aintain the current look and alerts the user to the loss of DMX512.

Rem ove the cable connected to the output of the console. Use a short DMX512 cable to connect the output of the console to the DMX512 input of the Preset 10 Portable. Connect the cable that was originally connected to the console to the DMX512 output connector of the Preset 10 Portable.

Once a preset has been recorded it can be copied or m oved. In order to copy one preset to another, DMX512 signal m ust be disconnected from the Preset 10 Portable DMX INPUT. Press the PRESET SELECT button of the preset you wish to copy.

RECORDING PRESET CROSSFADE TIME A crossfade is a fade where the new preset levels entirely replace the previous levels. Each of the ten presets can have its own unique crossfade tim e. Crossfade tim es default to two seconds. Note: Crossfade tim es range from a m inim um of 0 seconds to a m axim um of 999 seconds (16.65 m inutes).

LIMITED MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY Products m anufactured by Doug Fleenor Design (DFD) carry a five-year parts and labor warranty against m anufacturing defects. It is the custom er's responsibility to return the product to DFD at the custom er's expense. If covered under warranty, DFD will repair the unit and pay for return ground shipping.
