IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children. CAUTION! If a foreign object falls or becomes lodged in the toasting slots, immediately press the CANCEL button and unplug the unit. Do not immerse any part of the appliance or cord in water or any other liquid, electrical SHOCK may occur. - Page 3 If the appliance is damaged or malfunctioning, contact Sunpentown for service or repair. WARNING Never attempt to extract jammed toast, muffins, bagels, etc. with a knife or other metal object, as contact with the elements may cause electric SHOCK. Allow the appliance to cool completely, unplug the power cord from the outlet, and then carefully remove the bread.
- Page 4 OPERATING THE TOASTER 1. Plug the toaster cord into a grounded electrical outlet and switch toaster on. Ensure the crumb tray is free of crumbs and securely in place, and nothing is in the toaster slot. 2. Insert up to two slices of bread, muffins, or bagels into the slots. CAUTION! Attempting to insert a food item larger than the toaster slots can cause the food item to jam, and may lead to damage of the unit and/or personal injury.
- Page 5 TOASTING FROZEN BREAD To toast frozen bread, place the bread into the bread slots. Press the carriage control lever down until it clicks into place, select the desired Browning Setting, and then press the Frozen Button. REHEATING TOAST The toaster allows you to reheat toast without additional toasting. To reheat, place toast into bread slots, lower the carriage control lever until it clicks into place and press the Reheat Button.
