Assembly Instructions:
Attach one end of the 10 ft. rubber siphon hose to the
vacuum connection below the ceramic nozzle of the
sandblaster. The other end attaches to the small end of
the metal aspirator tube. Push rubber hose approxi-
mately 1 inch onto the aspirator tube. DO NOT push it
all the way down until it hits the larger diameter tube.
The opposite end of the aspirator tube is placed into the
sand.
In time, the ceramic nozzle will wear out. A hex key
wrench is enclosed to replace the ceramic nozzle. Sim-
ply loosen the screw closest to the tip of the gun. Pull
the old nozzle out, replace with new and tighten the screw
down again.
Air Supply:
Suggested Air Compressors: 3/4 HP with 2 gallon tank
for intermittent use - 1.5 HP tank mounted or larger com-
pressor for heavier use. Large air compressors in gen-
eral put out more SCFM of air resulting in sandblaster
to operate more efficiently. Pipe and fittings between

compressor and air hose should be at least 1/2" nomi-
nal size (5/8" ID). Be sure piping is free of droops and
sags where moisture can accumulate. Air hose should
be at least 1/4" ID.
Moisture In Compressed Air
Moisture in compressed air will form into droplets as it
comes from the air compressor pump. When humidity
is high and/or when a compressor is in continuous use
for an extended period of time, this moisture will collect
in the tank when using your sandblaster. This moisture
will be carried from the tank, through the hose, and out
of the gun as droplets mixed with the material that you
are spraying. This moisture will cause the sand to cake
and will clog the sandblasting gun. The use of an in-line
air filter/water trap will help eliminate this problem.
Operation:
Attach air supply to sandblaster at the 1/4" N.P.T. fe-
male fitting. Set your regulator at 60-80 lbs. of pres-
sure. Insert aspirator tube into abrasive material. The
tube can be placed directly into the bag of sand. The
gap between the hose and the tube must remain above
the surface of the sand at all times for the sandblaster to
work properly. Pull trigger on the gun and begin sand-
blasting. Hold the sandblaster so that the nozzle is at an
angle to the surface being blasted. Do not use at 90° to
the work surface.This will help the material from rebound-
ing back at you. Mask off any area that you do not want
blasted.
Abrasives:
Abrasives that may be used: fine silica sand (playground
sand), ground nut shells, ground corn cobs, and alumi-
num oxide. All abrasives must be dry and clean. Silica
sand and aluminum oxide can be found in most builder's
supply stores. Look under "Abrasives" or "Refinishing"
in your yellow pages for the remainder.

Insert the new nozzle carefully - do not jam in or you will dislodge the internal tooth washer and the nozzle will not be in the proper position.
